Gifts to Scholarships and Financial Aid contribute to...
Grinnell College remains one of the last institutions in the Midwest committed to need-blind admission, ensuring that domestic students are admitted based on talent and potential, not financial background. With 92% of students receiving financial aid and 18% identifying as first-generation college students, this commitment propels Grinnellians to extraordinary heights. A gift to scholarships and financial aid supports our commitment to need-blind admission and the no-loan program, ensuring students can focus on their education without the burden of overwhelming debt.
To inspire others to support Scholarships and Financial Aid, Alan Cubbage ’75 and Charlotte Strader Cubbage ’75 are generously offering a $1-for-$1 match — up to $100,000 — for gifts directed to this important fund. This matching opportunity doubles the impact of every gift, helping even more students access a Grinnell education.

“As students at Grinnell, we both received financial assistance from the College, thanks to the contributions of Grinnell alumni who came before us. Now we are pleased to be able to continue our support of Grinnell. We hope other alumni join us in making a Grinnell education possible for students now and in the future.” - Alan Cubbage ’75 and Charlotte Strader Cubbage ’75
